About the RGT

The Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT), established in 1992 with the aims of improving the status and profile of guitar teachers, and helping to ensure their professional recognition within the mainstream of music education, by the establishment of an accredited range of comprehensive and well structured teaching programmes.

RGT in now the world's largest organisation of guitar teachers and, in conjunction with its partner London College of Music Examinations, provides accredited exams in electric guitar, rock guitar, acoustic guitar, jazz guitar, bass guitar, classical guitar, ukulele and popular music theory. Exams take place throughout all regions of the UK, as well as in Europe, N. America, Australia and the Far East.

Professional Guitarist, Singer and Song Writer offers lessons in private home studio (family environment). Lessons will include learning right hand technique of both pick and finger picking use, study of chord and chord progressions, major, minor, pentatonic, blues scales applied to improvisation, playing songs from monophonic to polyphonic melodies, accompaniment with chords and rhythm, lead guitar parts, theory, harmony . I do not teach 1 style but teach you how to play every style from rock, blues, jazz, latin American , classical etc.. I tailor all lessons to fit your needs and will also teach you how to sing and accompany yourself if requested A modern guitarist is a well prepared guitarist who reads music and can play any style. Lessons are 1 hour or 30 minute.
